Susie
Office ManagerSusie is originally from South Carolina where she obtained an associates degree in Applied Science/Dental Assisting in 2003 and joined our team with over 18 years of dental experience! She has worked as both a dental assistant and in the front office, making her super well-rounded and a perfect fit as our Office Manager. Susie greets everyone she sees with a warm smile and a kind heart, and she makes our patients and team members feel at home when in our office. When not in the office, Susie loves spending time with her husband Kyle, three children, and their two goofy golden doodles.
Brooke
Business ManagerBrooke is originally from southwestern Virginia. She met Dr. Whalen while attending Virginia Tech (go Hokies!), where she obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting Information Systems. She is a Certified Public Accountant in North Carolina and has spent most of her career in various areas of business including accounting, finance, sales, and technology. At Whalen Dentistry, she oversees operations in supporting our team and the practice. Brooke enjoys family time with Dr. Whalen, their two girls, Belle and Lane. She loves staying active and being part of the Lake Norman community!
Beth
Lead Dental AssistantBeth was born in Vancouver, B.C. and later moved to WI where she was raised. Upon finishing Dental Assisting school in 2012, she moved to NC. Beth is happily married to her husband Josh and lives in Mount Holly. Working at Whalen Dentistry since 2019, she appreciates how Dr. Whalen and her coworkers strive for perfection. The rest of Beth’s extended family live in Northern Ireland, so it is special when coworkers and friends help fill that void. Her hobbies include traveling, crafting and all things food.
Toni
HygienistToni attended West Virginia University School of Dentistry: Division of Dental Hygiene, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene (BSDH) with honors. In her sophomore year, Toni was awarded an Instrumentation Award due to her skills with proper techniques. That is one of the reasons patients say she is so gentle. She has great attention to detail and is very thorough. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family. Her favorite things are going to theme parks, movie theaters, Italian food, and WVU Football. Let’s Go Mountaineers!
Aurora
HygienistOriginally from upstate South Carolina, Aurora is a graduate of Greenville Technical College’s Dental Hygiene Program. After spending a few years along the beautiful coast of Charleston, she now resides in Cornelius. As a dedicated hygienist, Aurora strives to make each patient feel comfortable and well-educated. She is passionate about the vital connection between oral health and overall well-being and treats every patient with the care and attention she would give to family and friends. Aurora’s goal is to ensure each patient leaves healthier and happier than when they arrived. Outside of work, she enjoys boating on Lake Norman, staying active, experimenting in the kitchen, traveling, and spending time with Brinley, her boxer/lab mix.
